EBG Responds to Government Ban on Fuel Vehicle Imports. Exploring LNG Truck Options with FAW
The Ethiopian government has officially announced a ban on the importation of fuel-powered vehicles as part of its plan to promote cleaner and more sustainable transport solutions.
As the authorized importer of FAW vehicles, Equatorial Business Group (EBG) is closely following this development and has already started discussions with FAW regarding Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) truck variants. These LNG trucks are known for their lower emissions and higher fuel efficiency, making them a promising alternative for the local market.
While we await detailed guidelines from the government, EBG is taking proactive steps to explore the feasibility of introducing LNG-powered FAW trucks in Ethiopia.
